Haunted Memories (Rictameter)

by Cindy   Jan 17, 2010

Haunted
Frightening dreams
Tortured, weak, wracked with pain
Shivering in darkness alone
Hopeless left stranded with a broken heart
Shattered, devastated, shackled
Fragile mind relives death
Loves tragedy
Haunted

Rictameter:
Starting your first line with a two syllable word, you then consecutively increase the number of syllables per line by two. i.e. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 Then down again,
8, 6, 4, 2 Making the final line the same two syllable word you began with.

Memories do have a way to make our life
either happy or wilt in sadness..for they cannot be erased. A touching write..

This one was scary, Though with limited words and following a form..you did exceptionally well with expressing your theme. Great write.

Memories can be haunting to one, but they can also keep us alive at times. But you did an excellent job describing how damaging and haunting they can be on someone. I'm waiting for a happy poem too :]
    Nicely done Cindy
