Many Thoughts

by William Mae   Nov 26, 2015

Two hearts touch, then binds in such, ways that can't be broken. Your eyes speak, no need for speech, love becomes the token.
It's not insane, that love can claim, two souls to bind forever, its our truth. For me and you, yes Cupid is that clever.
No soft embrace, yet our hearts race, no nights for consummation, no tender kiss, no times of bliss, just distant consolation.
Yet I'm not sad, my heart is glad, there's nothing broke to mend. For I clearly see, what my heart needs, is you as my best friend.

You have just made me cry! Its so sentimental, simple yet it holds much value and truth about relationships.

Yet I'm not sad, my heart is glad, there's nothing broke to mend. For I clearly see, what my heart needs, is you as my best friend.

I love the whole poem but this part here really stands out and it shows I guess the purity of a bond; and no matter the distance understanding is the glue here. Its so nice to read your works...
