Will You? (Rondeau)

by Kitty Cat Lady   Sep 27, 2018

Will you be there if I need you
Can you catch me if I fall through
Could you dry a well of sad tears
Can you see me though the bad years
Would you walk a mile in my shoes?

Can you show me when you feel blue
Will you not pretend to act cool
I will be here when you have fears
Will you be there?

Do you know what your touch can do
Make me whole or break me in two
I hope I've made my feelings clear
I know I'll always need you near
So if I give my heart to you
Will you be there?

    Miss Kitty,
A fine effort at these tricky poem forms. Love the story here, and blooming well done!

Excellent work, Kitty. I presume this is your first Rondeau? Either way, they are so difficult and you've done a sterling job here.

    Take care, good woman.

Aw thanks Ben. No, I've done a couple but Mr D told me off for not getting the syllable count right last time, so I kept it simple but made sure that was right :-) x
