Along the sidewalk
crosses stuck in to the ground,
a life has ended.

    When ever I see that or the more often bouquet of flowers and ribbons it stops me in my tracks. Another life snuffed out without warning. It reminds of how short life really is. Its so much worse when it is unexpected. Much love Milly x

    Such a sad image. It seems that there are increasing number of memorials on busy roads. The trouble is they make cars safe for passengers, but those poor pedestrians and cyclists often suffer.

    Dagmar, I have known a few people to have died as a result of car accidents, and each time what struck me most was how suddenly life can be snatched from us. An apt title.
