Death (Acrostic & Palindrome)

by Meena Krish   Oct 8, 2018

Death of silence heavy

Eternity nears, second ticking

Awakes cold of aroma

Telltale eyes empty,

Home new a darkness

-Soul Slips Away-

Darkness a new home

Empty eyes telltale,

Aroma of cold awakes

Ticking second, nears eternity

Heavy silence of death

Acrostic Poetry is where the first letter of each line spells a word, usually using
the same words as in the title.

A palindrome, by definition, is a word, phrase, verse, sentence, or even poem
that reads the same forward or backward.

This poem is something of a master class in writing. To write a palindrome is no easy task but do so in an acrostic format also is pure genius. I can only imagine how much effort must have gone into its creation.

The format of the poem detracts nothing from its subject matter and content which is a very fitting description of a rather difficult and sombre moment.

    Fantastic work

Death (Acrostic & Palindrome) by meena Krish points 4 - this piece really enthralled me because of the short lines maybe it's something to do with the palindrome within the acrostic or it's just because the whole piece was about death which here seemed so suddenly but I felt myself catching my breath a few times, which was far from a bad thing

This is so creative. I really like your word choice and phrasing. It really has a dark and deathly touch

To me, forming two forms is difficult in itself but you've done it flawlessly. Awesome job. Congrats on the win!
