Family Tree

by Brenda   Aug 16, 2020

Mothers and daughters,
sisters and aunts,
our roots run deep...
-
We are all entwined-
I am my
mothers daughter,
my daughter's mother.
I am a sister
by blood,
I am a sister
by marriage.
I am a sister
to many
who aren't entwined
in the roots
of this tree...
-
It matters not-
I gladly welcome you
to sit amongst
the branches,
gather strength
to continue your journey
in this life...
-
For this family tree
beats a heart
so strong,
so steadfast
in its' devotion and love
for all of its
mothers, daughters,
sisters and aunts....
