Quatern of Echoes

by EoB   Mar 9, 2006

We sing and the birds are silent
like stars do we lighten the world.
With dreams of a frozen heaven,
we worship the echo of tears.

No wonder the angels tremble,
we sing and the birds are silent.
The saints are shamed as they view us,
transient and free, like the wind.

Even their God will embrace us,
our aims concealed by the night.
We sing and the birds are silent,
tonight will they not dare to fly.

When every kiss have turned hollow,
why then do we still place the taste?
Careless of all that surround us,
we sing and the birds are silent

I thought I just throw my idea on this poem. now, lemme see. I like this poem but then again I always have this problem of explaining why I like a poem. I liked the way you repeated a sentence for 4 times. and I think the best part of this poem that is really poetic is the first stanza. I liked that part that you wrote "frozen heaven" and"echo of tears".
    take care,
