The Day You Went Away

by Cindy   Dec 7, 2006

It seems like only yesterday,
since you went away.
Then sometimes it seems like a lifetime.
since that fateful day.
I cried day and night for over a year,
now I cry where no one else will hear.
I remember so clearly ,
the moment you died.
You left your earthly body,
for your home up in the sky.
We were sitting together talking,
like we always did.
You stood and feel,
without a flutter of your eyelid.
I knew then that you were gone,
Why did things go so wrong?
I saw your soul leave you,
and float up toward the sky.
I knew at that moment ,
My true love had died.

I can relate to this one very much, i was there when my soul mate took ill, and i remember when he fell and i just knew he wasnt going to make it.

very powerful poem again, one in which only very few will relate to.. but one that noone should ever have to relate to.

Now this one made me cry, i don't care if i'm in college, lol.
Whenever i think of losing Marcus due to circumstances i can't control, i feel empty..
So i can half relate to this poem
But as always, despite the pain it took to write, its well written..
    5 to you..

In between every syllable and every word lies a sense of pain that i think anyone can feel in their heart, i know i sure did. The only thing i think we can really do to help slowly heal the pain is know that we will be re-united with our loved ones one day, to complete the journey we started with them. Loved this poem
