The Scam

by Cindy   Jan 13, 2007

We talked for months
You had your plans all along.
Knowing I was sick and lonely
What you did to me was wrong.

All I wanted was a friend
You wanted to satisfy your need.
I was vulnerable and alone
Using me to feed your greed.

From people like me you take
Somethings wrong in your head.
Use to smile, when you came on line
Now I'm overcome with dread.

You made me trust you
I gave you all my time.
Feeling the sadness from my soul
using me to commit your crime.

You took a part of me away
My heart I gave so free.
I have learned my lesson
Never again will you use me.

Praying you will get caught
No one else's heart will you break.
Because if I have my way
Everyone will know your fake.

Based an actual events. I was taken in by a scammer who was using my personal information to purchase items with stolen creidt card numbers.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. the hurt and betrayal in this poem I can relate to so well, I've just been through this and you have described it well how they gain your trust as they know you are wanting that friendship and then they abuse it :( some people just don't have hearts. so glad you realized and are able to move on from this xxxxx

Cindy you are so trusting....sometimes too much so. Beware the wolf in sheep's clothing! You did a great job putting this into a poem!
