Trapped Within

by Cindy   Jan 25, 2007

Shut away from society's view
Stares too hard to bare
Doors shut, Curtains drawn
Myself I cannot share

If people would look inside
See the heart contained within
Instead of only seeing me
For my outer skin

They would be so surprised
Of what they were to find
A loving, gentle, caring soul
Who is forever kind

My illness it has ravished me
Can't get it out of my mind
Praying that it won't be long
I can leave it all behind

    Cindy hun
Your words tear at my heart for I know all to well the pains and frustrations of living with a chronic disease as well. Many times some people can't see past our exterior to the beautiful heart that lays within. Then there are the ones who can.The ones who pick us up when we fall and wipe our tears when we cry. Those are the ones we call our friends.

Cindy you are an inspiration to many. And a person who seems to be very loved on this site, judging by all the beautiful comments.
    Take care Cindy
