A Mothers Love

by Cindy   Feb 1, 2007

Seems like only yesterday
Cradling you in my arms
Looking into your sparkling eyes
Vowing to keep you from all harm

My days were always bright
With you my darling boy
Waking always with a smile
Filling all my moments with joy

Now those times just memories
Time slips by so fast
Now you've grown into a man
Leaving your childhood in the past

Smiling as I look at you now
Strong and tall just like your dad
Filled with compassion and kindness
Helping to keep me from being sad

Now you take care of me
It's now my hand you hold
Wrapping me in your warm hug
When I'm feeling alone and cold

Now it is on you I depend
Just like you depended on me
Helping me till the bitter end
Your's the last face I'll see

This was so beautiful and so sad.
You have such a way at capturing emotion.

Aw amazing.. its so sweet when you see the tables turn and the beloved child ends up looking after the mother and father that kept them safe and happy all those years. That just the sign of good parenting. I can see how much you love your child and its sweet to see that instead of talking about the sadness and all. Nice work
