Friends Forever Part 1

There's a guy friend of mine
Who I see everyday
Everyone said he liked me
I didn't know i felt the same way

Months and weeks went by
With my naive love mind
Little did I know
The same feelings I'd find

I've know his feelings for a long time
About as long as I've known him(which is forever)
Other people said we should go out
I thought not now, not never

Love is a cruel game
In which we all are pawns
We'd laugh and joke all the time
Until new eyes I looked upon

Nothing had changed
They just were in a new light
Bewildered by my feelings
I thought this wasn't right

Then I was ecstatic
Maybe we could be together
And then I thought of our friendship
We were Friends Forever

    These two lines your strongest part of the poem. I found them to be powerful and also honest. The flow was good. You definitly pulled this one off in my opinion. Well done.~mel

    i like the rhyming and it never seemed forced
    and it had a great flow

    Until new eyes I looked upon-these are the best lines. I liked this one more then the rest of your poems. But I don't like first two stanzas. The rest of poem is good it deserves 4/5
