Piece of Betrayal

The world has betrayed me,
betrayed me for the last time.
In this cold night,
yet again I was alone.

Sitting infront of you,
trying to read your thoughts.
Thinking of a reason,
the cause of your betrayal.

From this day I lie
falling in the endless pit of darkness,
as I try to fade away from this place
and be in sweet rapture.

This intense emotion,
the pain and all,
I consider it nothing,
nothing but something that has awaken me.

The awakening of my real intentions,
awaken to face the truth,
awaken from my long sleep.
I now know.

You've always been there,
let me walk above you,
but as time pass by I realised it,
theres always a piece of betrayal...

Living inside of you.

    this stanza was really good
    the whole poem flowed and had some kind of darker meaning

    Wow i must say this is among the top three best poems without any rhyming i have ever read its ahrd to do a poem that catches my interest without ryhming but you did it great poem 5/5

    The flow throughout this was really different I did like it though, As I read it I read it with a calm and slow flow which i'm sure was your intention to create this piece that way. Emotions perfected. Loved them alot you really wrked them into the poem well. A good effort. Well done~mel
