Letting Go(Minute Poetry)

by Meena Krish   Oct 28, 2011

Slowly letting go of the pain
washing past's stain,
mending heart bleeds
aches to be freed.

Mute sadness knows not how to cry
nights wonder why,
to faith heart holds
as each day folds.

Letting go years of painful lies
time for goodbyes,
false love they've sown
I should have known.

Minute poetry a rhyming verse consisting of 12
lines of 60 syllables. Three stanzas of 8 - 4 - 4 - 4
syllable counts with a rhyme scheme
of a-a-b-b, c-c-d-d, e-e-f-f

    You know,

As for me, whenever I try to follow a pattern or rather a type of structure, I tend to lose the point or meaning that i want to give to my poem.

But in here, you did a really good job.

You portrayed some one who finally was able to let go for he/she realize that everything was just a lied and not a reality.

Sad but its better to know the truth than to keep blinding our self and see only what we want.

What to say, here... You are the queen of formed poetry, I never read a formed poem by you and thought it was not well-written, they all express true feelings and simple thoughts, yet the form you used is complicated and so difficult, you again did a great job, here, Meena, I'm so glad you posted a new poem, keep writing.

I always enjoy your poems. this one is very nice. I enjoy the structured formats, I found them a real challenge and a good learning tool.
    Very nice Meena
