Writing poetry is like a wind-up toy. You can wind it up, set it on the ground and let it go, but after that you never know how crazy it's going to get and where it's going to go, you just have to wait and see.

I would say that the difference between whether a poem is insightful or inciteful is in the way it provokes.

It is humor's job to laugh at the futility oft engendered by the improbable; but it is poetry's job to dream of the potentiality of that which makes it possible.

Heaven is yet to be created. We need to create Heaven out of Earth.
