If I could say anything
I'd say that it's all gone
The relationship we had
Will never again be ours

I'd say you never loved me
Like you love your other little girl
I'd say that I'm devastated
By the way you tossed me to the curb

If I could speak the words
I'd say that it still smarts
Fifteen years later
The way you broke my heart

If I could say what's on my mind
I would say that it's okay
I've grown into a woman
Who's able to find her way

If I could say what's in my heart
I'd say that I still love you
Even after all the hurt
And all the things you didn't do

If I could just shout it out
I would let you take the fall
But I won't hurt you like you did me
When you decided to toss it all

    This struck me with a heartrending pang of loss and confusion. Not confusion in the way that you wrote, but in the ways that I didn't really expect such an earth-shattering piece from the title. While I would have liked to see more diversity in the sentence structure or the style of this, I was completely overwhelmed by the emotion and voice.
