I stand
bewildered
for I swore
I was alone
tonight.

The doors
are firmly
locked,

I checked.

I'm sure,
No.
I know,
I'm alone.

It's probably
my mind
playing tricks

Or.

Surely.

No.

He.
Can't.
Have
Found.
Me....

    Oh, Em... this is gut-wrenching. The one word or few words per line especially highlight the fear and trauma, and how people from our past can haunt us still. Even when we know we should feel safe, the doubts are still there.

    This held so much emotion.
