If just one thing?

If I could pick one thing about you,
that really makes me smile.
I think it would be your heart,
because it is stronger and by miles.

Yet it's not as simple as that though!
As you have so many features.
Your tolerance for this thing of me,
and your love for little creatures.

You have a heart and mind so gentle,
a tenderness unlike no other.
To accept the waifs and strays that come our way,

And to them become a mother.

I don't know how you do it!
And I know I've been by your side,
but the sacrifices you make each day,
leave my eyes and mouth gaping wide.

You have loved my daughter not of you skin,
And treated her like your own.
You've tried your best with my family!
Despite words like knives have flown.

We have had so many laughs and giggles,
We've been known to crash out on the floor.
I can't imagine doing this with anyone else,
For you I doth adore.

I don't know why you love me to be honest?
And as I write this I know it's true!
But I kinda feel you are all of me!

And I a part of you!
