Question

Have you ever given your all?
And to your heart be fully true?
Have you ever said forever?
And known it be truly you?

Have you ever broken this bond?
Have you felt shame upon yourself?
Wished the ground would open up?
Perhaps drop down into the depths?

I ask these questions just because,
I am simply that little man.
The one who made the initial mistake.
Now I feel my soul is damned.

How can I judge a living soul,
Based upon my act.
How can I feel this sorrowful,
when I don't know all the facts?

I guess we all make mistakes sometimes,
And I would have been the first.
Yet what goes around comes around.
And my heart feels like it could burst.

I'm not giving up or quitting though.
For this little lady is my dove.
Not sure what will come to be,

But I'll fight

For she is my only love.
