and if I knew that this was goodbye

If I knew that there wouldn't be a tomorrow
I would rest in peaceful sleep
and if I knew that it would ease my sorrow
I would pray for God my soul to keep
If I knew it would be the last time I felt your touch
I would get closer together
If I knew i couldn't say "I love you so much"
I would make you feel better
Hope you never doubt my love for you
and that you know that what I feel is true.
