Never again

If only you knew how much i cared
then maybe you wouldn't have been scared

to actually connect with me
instead of lying to me

and now it hurts so bad
its driving me mad

if only there was a way to ease the pain
but i now know to restrain my heart

because people like you like playing games
games that should not be played

because it can destroy a person
just like it destroyed me

and i hate you for that
but i also love you for that

because now i know not to let my guard down
and i shall never do it again

no never again
