Upon my shelf of memory
Lies a box without a key...
Descending down upon me
The never-ending rain...
Volcano on my landscape
Tidal wave within my sea...
I hate the way you smile
And laugh all the time...
Mind completely lost to freedom
I'm running free, I'm flying free...
I hate the modern world
The boats and fumey planes...
Flicking through the pages of nightmares
Watching the clock of dreams tick by...
You think that you can't play
And people don't want to hear...
Unearthly silence hangs in the air
So thick a knife could slice the sound...
I stand on the hill, watch a beautiful sunset
Head bowed, accpeting my fate...
I'm trapped inside a classroom
Staring into space...
I see the pouring rain
Another poor soul cries...
