leave me alone.

by Poet on the Piano   Mar 30, 2020

they won't ask if you're not presenting

a closed art gallery
where no one's ruminating afterwards
my soul's not open to the public though
so no one can depict
my demise

i'll be drowning
in my own guts
my own words
vomiting out the stress
that's built up from centuries
of another life
and just now came to claim me

the buzz
where's the buzz?
there's none let me tell you
when your lungs aren't punctured,
they'll pretend not to see the holes
made by all the other monsters.

someday the demons down below
will own me and i doubt

that you would even notice

i'm any different
