Deaf And Blind Or An Unresponsive Mind

Slumber is now calling
Yet I simply cannot hear
Exhausted as I am and feel
Dreams are nowhere near

It is not that I fight such things
But it's a long term state of me
When I should rest and sleep
Silver scales carve through my stream

Little fish that constantly swim
A silver sliver of self doubt
Sometime I wish the river stopped flowing
Sometimes I wish for drought.

That elusive dreaming state of being
The times when fantasy should flow
But the dreams wake me once again
They just won't let me go

Is it that I can't relax
Am i screwed up and just too wired
Is it thoughts of deeds forgotten
Was I born to burn in fire

Are my ears and mind so unresponsive
That I can't fathom silence and peace?
I see rise both a moon then sun
And I still won't find release

      It does, I crash massively over Saturday night and Sunday morning. Then wake feeling fidgety.

    When your sleep pattern enters this phase it's so very hard to break it...you describe what a lot of people experience at some point in their lives...it's just awful but I've discovered a few methods to overcome it :)
