Trapped in this body
No longer existing
Yesterdays are distant dreams
Left with a heart bleeding

Everyday grows longer
Time seems to stand still
Closing my eyes to life
Sleeping away all that's real

Sadness has become me
Happiness is all pretend
Depression all around
Darkness has become my friend

How many more years
Can I endure this pain
Waiting to join you
Yet here alone I remain
