"Ashes, ashes, we all fall down!"
Children laughing as they all hit the ground...
In the dark depths
Of the silent water...
Kiss me on my forehead
And lay me down to sleep...
Something takes over me
powerful and strong...
Darkness lies dormant
nestled deep within...
The light flickers wildly,
The sparks threaten to burn...
Watch as the folding surface
Bends the lonely light...
Screams pierce the night
ripping me from my sleep...
Blood covers my hands, my fingers trembling.
My throat is raw and burns from stale acid...
I close my eyes to paint a pictured scene
a view; unfurls and takes my breath a-way...
...
They pass on by
One maybe two...
