As I walked into the backyard to find my son,
I wondered how I could ever explain it to him...
As I watched from across the bar,
I could see her pain and emptiness within...
Flicker the candle light goes
As the flame licks the wicks toes...
He whispers haunting words in my ear.
and i smile...
I climbed up to the roof to see if I could try.
I looked in the mirror and said...
I regret those words I told you.
The day before you died...
The girl and her veil
lowered slowly to rest...
At gate of heaven, there I stand
with deeds engraved upon my hand...
O! Sweet sorrow--
her feeble hands, shaking...
Your words were cruel, so filled with hate.
There's always people judging , ready to rate...
Death has the power
to decide for your life...
You will go, no one ever stays for long,
And before I know it you'll be gone...
